Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an extra-curricular activity in which students typically roleplay delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees
This activity takes place at MUN conferences, which is usually organized by a high school MUN club. At the end of most conferences, outstanding delegates in each committee are recognized and given an award certificate; the Best Delegate in each committee, however, receives a gavel.
Many students from different Schools participate in Model United Nations, which involves substantial researching, public speaking, debating, and writing skills, as well as critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities.
With so many changes to Model United Nations over the years, there’s a need to not only define MUN but to keep track of its changes. And that’s what I hope to do with this website.
RBKISMUN - About Us
Message from the Director
Peace is not the absence of conflict it is in fact the ability to handle conflict peacefully. Peace is journey of a thousand miles and it must be taken one step at a time. The RBKIS MUN is a small step that aims to cover large distances between the thoughts and ideas of individuals. Resolving conflicts, exchanging ideas , sharing views and concerns. For these we hope to provide a fertile ground. We truly believe that wide chasms of differential ideas can be bridged by fruitful dialogue.
At the RBKIS MUN we hope to sensitize you to the issues plaguing the world and suggest viable solutions to these problems that need to be tackled on war footing.
Wishing you the very best and extending a warm welcome to all delegates.

Message from the Principal
The voyage of discovery is not in seeking new landscape but in having new eyes. Join us on our voyage as we journey through the thoughts and opinions of young minds in an attempt to find amicable solutions to aggressive problems.
We at RBK International School have left no stone unturned to provide you with a fruitful learning experience in self expression, assimilation of thoughts and ideas and in being sensitive to major world issues.
It is sad but true, we live in a world of guided missiles and misguided men. It is our endeavor to make you delegates realize that survival of the human species depends on your humane approach to problems. History is a witness to the fact that war has created more problems than it has ever solved.
So let us stop warring and start caring to build a better world and a better milieu for us and generations to come. Following the guidance of the United Nations we hope to get you better acquainted with the procedure of Munning so that with a consensus you all come to practical solutions to the existing problems .
I sincerely wish that all the delegates will enjoy their time at our school and take back wonderful memories.

Message from the RBKIS MUN Coordinator
"Free expression is the base of human rights, root of human nature and the mother of truth. To kill free speech is to insult human rights, to stifle human nature and to suppress truth" This is what I have learnt in my past experiences wit/p>
Having mentored students with their Position papers for the last 3 years and being present at certain MUN's I can vouch for the fact that "The MUN way is the FUN way" It is a great way for every delegate to learn the nuances of debating, how to be assertive without being offensive and how to build bridges to other people's hearts by simply using constructive kind words.
At the RBKIS MUN we sincerely hope that you not only comprehend the gravity of the issue at hand but also develop a sense of responsibility in shaping the world to be a better place. The MUN provides us with the opportunity to take learning experiences outside the conventional classroom environment and sensitize you towards the need for developing globally aware and a socially committed attitude.
Looking forward to having a wonderful and memorable time with all of you.
